Welcome to From Page One. I am Celester Mejia, your beloved blogger of this little space of mine. I’m from the Philippines. It was just recently when I found out that reading could be fun, too. Most of the time, I find myself trying to open up my experiences after reading a certain book to my friends but they are not as enthusiastic as I am when it comes to books. That is the reason why I created this book blog–to be able to share whatever I want to share about reading and exploring textual universes. And that’s how the book blogger in me was born.
When I’m not in my book blogger alter-ego, I’m a student. I am currently taking up Multimedia as my course. Before this, I spent four years of my college life as a Human Biology student. But I’m not that old. I was fourteen years old when I first entered my chosen university.
On my free time when I’m not studying, book blogging, or reading, I take vain selfies, I go out and be outside, I’m writing. Yes. I’m also a writer. I don’t have the guts to call myself an author because an author can only be called an author when he/she was able to publish a book. If not, like me, then he/she’s only a writer. (Explain much?)
Going back to my book blog, I write reviews as well. Well, that’s the main purpose of book blogging, right? Mostly of the books I’ve reviewed are those that I was able to finish. Meaning, I loved these books somehow, or maybe to the fullest. I love reading YA, fantasy, romance, and chick-lit novels! Haven’t tried reading other books that falls in other genre, though, so I’m not sure about those.
So, if you find me interesting (which I doubt) and want to know more about me, you can always contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and send me anything you want to send — hate mails, fan mails, death threats, etc. Let’s keep in touch, shall we? 🙂
